Shoulder poppin'.

I had steered clear of shoulder-emphasizing dresses til now, mostly because I think you need a small waist (aka b&w model above) to pull it off, and also because I haven't done as much shopping this year as I have in last years. I'm growing up, saving pennies;) 

I do love the Balmain mini dresses that have 'inspired' countless numbers of high-street brands to provide us the same style. I found my special inspired dress in London at a little vintage boutique called Appletree on Portobello Road, Notting Hill. It was about 32GBP and as soon as I saw it on the racks I knew I must have it. It's super short and I need a belt to cinch in the waist, for the reason above, but also because it's a bit of a straight cut, a little loose.

Polka dot.

I hardly do outfit posts. That's coz I'm pretty boring!
And because I work in an office all week and it wouldn't be much fun showing you that.

I mentioned this vest before, I love wearing it over anything and everything.
The lace camisole underneath is from Jeanswest too.
And the skirt, the 8 pound skirt is from Primark. Funny story - my sister and I went to Primark Oxford Street, lost each other in the madness and decided to just meet up afterwards. I was out first but afterwards she was telling me about this mini skirt she saw which was so cute and was almost going to buy but thought, 'hmmm it's more Cathy's style...'. I asked her if it was polka dot and had a bow on the front... Lucky she didn't buy it, because I did! It's totally my style!

A couple of polka dot dresses featured in the March issue of American Vogue actually. Ok, completely different to the style in which I wore it above. 

Polka dot shift dresses are cool though... If I owned dresses like that I'd be doing a lot more work-outfit posts!

Lucy In Disguise.

I love Lily Allen so it saddens me that she announced she is taking a break from making music. The exciting news though, is that she will be starting up her own vintage fashion store.

Lily is partnering with her sister, Sarah Owen to create Lucy In Disguise.

“It’s about making fashion democratic. That’s the idea behind it. It’s about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won’t cost them a million dollars,”

It's happening sometime this month in London. I can't wait to hear more about it!
I think Lily Allen is one of the most gorgeous girls ever. Ok, at times she seems to be a bit of a spaz, but most other times she looks lovely. I love that her attitude on life is something like "this is who I am and screw you if you don't like it".

I've never seen her live in concert, but I'd love to one day.

I'm moving to London. I don't know when exactly, but it just feels like home.

The greatest city in the world!

I'm going to London tonight for four days. I'm so excited!!

It's going to be sooo cold so not really looking forward to that but i'm sure the shopping will make up for it! Camden town, Portobello markets, Spitalfields... These are all places I'll be checking out by recommendation by friends.

Can anyone else suggest any other places?

Will hopefully also take some real awesome pictures of the trip. There will be lots of things to see and a lot of interesting people so will definitely not run out things catching my eye!
