A Chanel Paradise.

Farewell Lily Allen. Although your short stint with Chanel last year was great, the newest model for Coco Cocoon has planted her feet firmly in your place, spreading her wings as Karl Lagerfeld's new muse.
Vanessa Paradis modeling the Coco Cocoon handbag selection.
Already the face for Chanel's Coco Rouge campaign and fragrances, she is obviously the new favourite on the Chanel block.
Oozing a ultra cool vibe, the French actress/singer looks sexy but keeps it classy, lounging about in this casual shoot.

What an honour it would be, to be handpicked and idolized by someone so big in the fashion industry as Karl Lagerfeld.

As for Lily, she has gone from designing for New Look to modeling with Chanel in just a few years, so shouldn't feel to bad about being dropped from the major fashion house. She's a very busy girl, we no doubt can except much more from her (fashionwise) in the near future.

Lily, painted.

What has Lily Allen been up to lately, you ask?
Ok, maybe you didn't ask, but as a Lily-lover, I was getting curious.
It was some time ago that she announced taking a break from music and starting her label, Lucy In Disguise... but since this will launch sometime in August, I'm not sure we'll be hearing anything about it before then.
Lily will be a NUDE covergirl for Australia's Harper's Bazaar in May 2010, but the cover is actually a painting by artist David Bromley. He has sketched her from pictures of her editorial with Harper's Bazaar Russia, from January 2010.
I think it's quite pretty, but still hasn't answered the question of what she's been up to lately... Let's hope she's been super busy designing ultra cool vintage-esue dresses for us (at affordable prices of course).

Plastic fantastic.

CBT's Closet is trendy, fun, & unique handmade & custom jewelry & accessories.
I sometimes order custom-made name necklaces for friends birthdays from them because you can pick the material colours, fonts and sizes.
And it's pretty cheap! Loving this girl and her resin goodness - http://www.cbtscloset.com/
Some of the necklaces I own, including:
Lily Allen lyrics, Hello Kitty, fluoro knuckle-dusters, and custom made laser cut 'fancy' and 'dollbaby'.
I forgot to mention - I got my braces off (only one month and a week after getting them on!) so it feels great!

But I've been home for the last two days because I got an eye infection... so I'm dressed up all in pink to match my eyes at the moment. :P And avoiding eye contact with the camera... It's pretty gross.
So far this has been a real boring weekend!

Lucy In Disguise.

I love Lily Allen so it saddens me that she announced she is taking a break from making music. The exciting news though, is that she will be starting up her own vintage fashion store.
Lily is partnering with her sister, Sarah Owen to create Lucy In Disguise.
“It’s about making fashion democratic. That’s the idea behind it. It’s about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won’t cost them a million dollars,”
It's happening sometime this month in London. I can't wait to hear more about it!
I think Lily Allen is one of the most gorgeous girls ever. Ok, at times she seems to be a bit of a spaz, but most other times she looks lovely. I love that her attitude on life is something like "this is who I am and screw you if you don't like it".
I've never seen her live in concert, but I'd love to one day.
If anyone knows more about Lucy in Disguise, please keep me posted!

LILY LOVE.

The girl is a goddess. I love her.

Also, pretty epic performance by Dizzee Rascal & Florence Welsh doing a live mash-up of Dirtee Money & You Got The Love. Amazing.

Cotton candy.

All this talk of pastel hair colours made me get my pink wig out. I wish I had a longer one but they're so hard to find, especially here in Dubai (apart from the crappy plastic Halloween types). This one was purchased in Melbourne a few months ago. Bought it from this small wig shop opposite the Vic markets. It was pretty cheap, about 20 bucks only (and it's so soft, feels lovely through the fingers).
I could never permanently dye my hair one of these cotton candy colours, although I would love to. Maybe if i was naturally a blonde I would. With such dark hair I couldn't do such a drastic change. It does work though, the pink hair on someone with naturally dark hair.
See Lily Allen and Audrey Kitching.
And if you do the pink hair, you've got to go with the whole look, right?
