Brunch carnage.

A typical Friday brunch in Dubai.
All you can eat, all you can drink, which, accompanied by the scorching desert heat, often leads to the bubbly go straight to your head. You stumble out of the restaurant at about 5pm, go home for a little siesta and wake up at 8pm (thinking it's actually 11pm) with a massive hangover you're left to cradle until morning.
Luckily, most hotels offer a non-alcoholic option, which is the one I go for.
I don't do brunches often, but in the last year I've been to Pergola's at the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel twice.
They have a beautiful large terrace outside, which is perfect in the weather we're having at the moment; and a massive food selection with every type of salad you could imagine, live grill stations, roast beef, Indian food, Italian food, Arabic food... I could go on and I didn't even mention the desserts yet.
Even if I don't drink at a brunch, I still feel completely knackered just by being out in the sun all day and eating EVERYTHING in sight.
Afterward, it's always nice to slip into a long and deep food coma.
